A tiny space with some big ideas…

The four year old owner of this little room was hoping for more space to play than the previous layout allowed for. We designed the platform bed with curtains so it would double as a secret hideout, built into the eaves to maximise floor space. To add width to the tricky shaped room, it was given a half wall paint treatment in a soothing, calming blue.

An IKEA hack, using three sets of NORDLI drawers, an existing bed frame and some painted ply wood created a bespoke loft-style bed. Positioned in the eaves of the room, the design maximised both floor space and storage. Second hand wooden crates were painted in complementary colours to provide extra wall storage.

This little tray shelf began life as crayon storage. A good sand, stain, wax and some beautiful craft paper and it has been transformed into a home for beloved treasures.
