A connected space promoting warmth and wellbeing…

This seaside room required a warm palette to offset its beautiful but cool north facing light. The design brief was to create a multi-functional room with defined spaces; each space needed to work together and promote a relaxed, laid back, Scandi vibe. The use of warm colours and natural materials brought cohesion to the space; it also provided a sympathetic backdrop for cooler blue tones, to reflect the stunning sea view.

A secondhand vintage table in the centre of the space can be extended to fit the whole family while the cute sofa was selected for it’s neat proportions and means that, in winter, the dining space can double as a cosy living space around the wood burning stove. A specially commissioned piece of art brings the outside view in and - with careful styling - draws the eye to the beautiful fireplace.

Warm wood tones connect the two spaces and create continuity. While other natural materials and plants bring promote wellbeing and add interest.
